Q: You have worked on many comics for several years. What NEW challenges have you had with Angel & Faith?

A: The new challenge for Angel & Faith is living up to the high level of storytelling set by Joss & his writers!

Q: Will the story stick around in London/UK or will it expand to other places?

A: We will be mostly in London/the UK but there will be other locations as well.

Q: Could you describe the future A&F season in 5 words?

A: 5 words? Redemption. Family. Loyalty. Fatal flaws.

Q: Do you have any crumbs for a Wesley fan?

A: I have some bad news about Wesley...he's dead. Sorry, though, no current Wesley plans from me. I like him though

Q: In what ways do you think Angel's and Faith's personalities and relationships changed from how they were in the show? Thanks.

A: I think Faith has matured more than anyone else in the Buffyverse, even Xander. She's the together one now...for now.
As for Angel I think he has just gotten more guilt ridden and tortured and feels he is toxic, pushing people away.

Q: How big a role will Giles play in the series?

A: Very big. Giles is the 3rd most important character in the story. We open #1 with a flashback starring Giles.

Q: Any chance for flash-back stories either Fang Gang or Angel Investigations? (Angel is lost without Cordy)

A: Never say never but not right now. And I'm sorry but I don't know who Fang Gang is? Angel & Spike?

Q: Will we see Faith vs Illyria at any point?

A: No Faith vs. Illyria plans. For Illyria you want to stay tuned to Joss' books. He called dibs quick! Guess he earned it.

Q: Any hints about the Big Bads of the season? I'm assuming that they're the two on the #4 cover.

A: The Big Bads on the cover you mention have a link to Twilight. No more hints though!

Q: Will we see some Buffy characters crossover to Angel/Faith? Or will the series be purely about Angel/Faith?

A: There will be some crossover of characters between the books. Harmony & Clem are in Angel & Faith #5.

Q: Will we get clues to where Angel came from when he fell from the sky in Season 8?

A: Since getting the job,have you waitched both Buffy and Angel and read season 8 and Angel :After The Fall?

I've watched all Buffy & Angel eps & read 1st 6 volumes of After The Fall

I have no idea where Angel fell from in Season 8. Sorry. I'll ask Joss when I get the chance.

A: Sure. If I forget message me again after the #angelnfaithchat is over.

Q: What's the experience of writing for Angel and Faith been like so far?

A: It's been fun! Intimidating but wicked fun! And @rebekahisaacs is amazing. Star in the making

Q: Are there any specific characters who aren't going to be in A&F that you wish were?

A: Dead ones. Loved Merle. Would've been fun to write Spike. Dying to use Lorne but only if I can do a good job.

Q: Will we see any kind of romantic relationship between angel and faith?

A: Some questions just get "stay tuned." That is one. Not tipping the hat either way, think speculation is fun!

Q: In the preview pages we've sort of been introduced to Nadira. Can you tell us anything about her?

A: Nadira has a major trauma in her recent past and has been affected by it. Faith is trying to help.

Q: Which character's head is the most fun for you to get inside?

A: Getting in Harmony's head was super fun. It must be awesome to be the center of the universe!

Q: Will Angelus be making an appearance?

A: Angelus is always a presence but letting him off the leash...only if I can find a new wrinkle on doing it.

Q: Robin Wood wont be making an appearance will he?

A: No plans for Robin Wood right now but you never know. I love his Mom.

Q: The launch of Issue #1 is nearly here. How do you think the fans are going to react?

A: I have no idea how fans will react...hope they like it! You tell me in 1 week!

Q: Does time-travel exist in this new world?

A: Time travel could exist I guess if you do it without a spell. Paging David Nabbit!

Q: (What about) Angel, Darla, Drusilla and Spike (Fang Gang evil vampires gang ever)

A: Ah! Well, mmmaybe a Fang Gang member or 2 will make an appearance. Flashback? Present day? stay tuned!

Q: Any chance for romance for Angel and Faith (not necessarily together)?

A: Romance with anyone is not on Angel or Faith's mind as we begin but you never know where things could lead

Q: Do you have a favorite TV episode for each of the characters?

A: Yes I have fave eps but can't think of them right now! Love The Zeppo for Xander... Billy Idol Spike...

Q: Since a Morah demon is on a cover,will you be touching on when Angel became human with Buffy in IWRY?

A: Yes.

Q: You just answered about not tipping either way. Out of curiosity, are a shipper of Angel and Faith?

A: I'm sorry, I don't know what a shipper is.

Q: Any old friends coming back from season 1-7 of btvs?

A: Mohra demon. Harmony. Clem. More that you have to find out down the road!

Q: We'll get to see some talk between Buffy (or any member of the scooby gang) and Faith?

A: Faith will talk to a Scooby gang member. Not Buffy, at least not in the near term.

Q: What are your first impressions of @rebekahisaacs's art on the series?

A: @rebekahisaacs is going to be a superstar after this. Glad we have her locked up for a while!

Q: Will Connor be occurring at some point?

A: We will address Connot at some point. Otherwise Angel is just a deadbeat Dad!

Q: Are there any direct crossovers on the cards, or can we read Angel & Faith and Buffy: Season 9 separately?

A: A&F & Buffy are in the same universe with crossover elements but you can read each on their own

Q: How many flashbacks are there in the first 4 issues? Thanks!

A: To Giles? At least two.

Q: Faith versus E. Honda... who wins?!

A: E. Honda & Faith fight until they fall in love and get married and have chubby Slayer sumo babies.

Q: A shipper is a fan of a particular romantic pairing

A: Thanks. Man I feel old. I am a shipper of whatever makes for the juiciest stories, heh heh.

Q: Last year, my heart broke again with Buffy and Angel's tragic fate. Will I get some "kind of hope" for them in Season 9 ?

A: Honestly we will be keeping Angel & Buffy separate for most, maybe all of Season 9. They needed some space.
By the way if I ever have a talk show @nicolesixx_ will be the McMahon to my Carson!

Q: In the first issues, Angel has already surpassed what he did to Giles and caused to the gang?

A: How do you mean surpassed? If you mean is he over it, definitely no!

Q: Will Buffy make an appearance in the comic as incentive?

A: Aside from flashbacks, no Buffy appearances for a while.

Q: Will there be an appearance from Drusilla at some point?

A: That would be cool, wouldn't it?

Q: A&F is collocated during or Buffy season 9?

A: Um...if "collocated" means they take place at the same time, yes. I feel old and stupid today!

Q: I meant during or before. Sorry.

A: No worries. I couldn't ask questions in Italian if my life depended on it!

Q: Will there be an chance of a kiss between Angel/Faith? ;D

A: Always a chance. A kiss, a bite, a punch...

Q: Will Angel run afoul of Faith's Slayers? I mean, he was Twilight, and Faith is counseling him and the girls.

A: Yeah, that's kind of awkward, isn't it?

Q: Will we see illyria, gunn, cordelia, lorne, kate e connor again in this series?

A: Yes on Connor. Illyria, follow Joss' books. The others, stay tuned. But not as regulars.

Q: Could you see Buffy & Angel interteracting again in the last part of season 9 or during season 10?

A: I could see it, it's up to Joss & also too soon to nail down with certainty just yet.

Q: How big a role does the London setting play in the series, particularly early on?

A: London has a big role. Highgate figures in arc 2. @rebekahisaacs is going there soon.
Hey, last time I was in London was before @rebekahisaacs was born. Who wants to fly me out?
I don't remember the Tower of London. I remember Forbidden Planet, finding Claremont/Byrne X-Men & Thor Annual #1.

Q: It seems like faith is doing some stuff on her own,will angel have his own thing/own agenda?

A: Oh yes. Angel has one hell of an agenda. See the last page of issue #1

Q: Any news on Gunn?

A: I hear he's a black private dick who's a sex machine to all the chicks

Q: I really love @rebekahisaacs 's art, but if she wasn't the artist, who would you like to have in the job?

A: I refuse to consider another artist besides @rebekahisaacs ...wait, who's drawing #5? Sweet!

Q: Will Clem and Angel be comparing their impressions on Spike's manners & tastes?

A: Spike actually does get mentioned in issue #5 in a bit that made me smile.

Q: Lots of people think Angel can't be redeemed after what he did in S8, will his path be enough ? Can he ? ( I think he can )

A: Redemption is what Angel is all about. See what you think after reading!

Q: Is Wolfram&hart part of the story or mentioned in some way?

A: With access to Senior Partners cut off I imagine Wolfram & Hart is taking out ads on the back of buses.

Q: Will the shanshu be mentioned or come into play in the book?

A: Shanshu gets mentioned in arc 2. In what context? Wait and see!

Q: Which Buffyverse writer would you love to collaborate with on a Angel & Faith book?

A: Any, they all rule! Joss, of course. @JaneEspenson gave me an idea that is crucial to the whole season!

Q: re: your tweet about faith being together... for now. can you hint at what's going to derail our girl?

A: She falls 4 a handsome Greek from Mass who rejects her because he loves his wife. If Joss approves the story.

Q: I know he needs to be redeemed yet again but we won't just see a mopey Angel for the first few arcs, will we?

A: Much more dangerous than mopey

Q: I really hope so. I would be mad at Joss ( and you ) if Angel can't be redeemed at some point. ;-)

A: Good policy, always be mad at Joss, never at me.

Q: Are we going to get any flashbacks of Faith's past?

A: How about people from Faith's past?

Q: Will there be guest writers for Angel&Faith say someone like Joss?

A: Joss is of course welcome any time but as of right now you're stuck with me. & any time @ShawnRyanTV wants to write issues he can if he brings back Chicago Code and lets me write some.

Q: How bout Xander popping up? Or Darla returning (again)? lol

A: Xander is in Buffy. Darla would be flashbacks only. No Cordelia appearance yet but I dig her too.

Q: If you got the chance than would you want to write the Buffy/Angel reunion or would you rather Joss do that?

A: I would want Joss to write the Buffy/Angel reunion.

Q: When will we see this big idea that @JaneEspenson handed you? Is this that huge twist you mentioned before?

A: Roughly arc 4 but it informs everything.

Q: Will Mayor Richard Wilkins be making an appearance? I just dig that guy.

A: Me too. But no. However arc 2 is called "Daddy "

Q: Does Kate the cop (or ex-cop) appear in the story?

A: No Kate plans but we Law & Order alums gotta stick together. Would like to write her at some point.

Q: Beside all the redemption path, family etc... Will there be some humor in S9 ?

A: Issue #5 will hopefully be funny. Humor has always been part of Angel.

Q: If your still answering, will characters from the IDW run like Beta Goerge (the fish) be appearing, can they?

A: No IDW characters. Mostly because the cast is staying fairly pared down in general.
